Numerosi temporali partono in tutto il Piemonte e parte della Lombardia occidentale già dal primissimo pomeriggio. Le celle appena nate sono molto fotogeniche, ma in pochi minuti finiscono per indebolirsi o saldarsi con altri temporali nelle vicinanze.
Io, Mauro ed altri ragazzi piemontesi usciamo a caccia dopo le 15 e le celle si sono già fuse in un unico sistema. L'unico temporale intenso pare essere a sud di Torino. Decidiamo così di puntare quello. Outbreak di supercelle 17 Giugno 2010

On the day of Thursday, June 17, thanks to the arrival of a cold slug, several supercells were generated between Piedmont, Lombardy and Emilia. The storms have become extremely photogenic and spectacular facilities. Personally I could not unfortunately be on the field, but the chasers who have had the good fortune and the skill of being on the field last time they saw exceptional.
I was in Milan, just to have sight, I climbed the Duomo where I photographed the supercell Alexandrian, of course, from great distances. At the top I noticed the dark shadow of precipitation and near the base dell'updraft under which continued to form discrete Lowering (probably wall clouds). The huge anvil then expanded almost from above my head. Despite the distances, the structure seemed to me almost immediately supercellulare nature and watching the radar on mobile Landi, we noted how it was completely isolated.

La giornata si apre con molti cumuli in continuo sviluppo e disfacimento in buona parte del Piemonte e Lombardia. Le possibilità di temporali pomeridiani sembrano prendere sempre più piede, supportate anche dall'entrata di aria più fredda in quota di queste ore.
Intorno alle 16 si sviluppa poco a est di Novara un debole rovescio, non a carattere temporalesco, ma generato comunque da un discreto cumulo, segno che l'atmosfera è instabile.
Poco prima delle 17 il cielo a Galliate (NO) si fa minaccioso verso ovest, dove si scorge una grossa base scura ancora priva di precipitazioni. Pochi minuti e si sentono i primi tuoni. Salgo in macchina ed esco subito verso un punto con buona visuale. Sotto la base c'è già un piccolo nucleo di precipitazioni, che nei minuti successivi diventerà sempre più esteso. Per qualche istante mi trovo dentro i rovesci e decido così di prendere tempo: aggiro leggermente il temporale più verso est, lasciando che mi scorra a NE. In this public post some pictures of airliners with contrail passed through Milan on the afternoon of June 4. The photos were taken with an SLR camera using a telescope as a goal. Some curious
aircraft photographed. I observed and photographed gli aerei, in tutto 25 apparecchi, dalle 17:30 alle 21:30, con un passaggio in media ogni 10 minuti circa. Ho identificato tutti gli aerei: 24 apparecchi via Flightradar24 o siti analoghi (Acarsd, Libhomeradar, Flight24) ed il restante, non segnalato da Flightradar24, semplicemente leggendo il suo codice di registrazione in posizione subalare (Air One EI-DRI).
La compagnia aerea osservata più frequentemente è stata Ryanair con 4 passaggi, poi Lufthansa con 3 passaggi, Airfrance, Airberlin e Swiss ciascuna con 2 passaggi e poi altre compagnie con un passaggio ciascuna. Il modello di aereo osservato più frequentemente è stato il Boeing B737 nei suoi vari sottomodelli (11 passaggi) seguito dall'A320 (7 passaggi), A321 (5 passes), A319 and CRJ900 (a step each).
interesting to note that in the last 4 hours of observation in the same device, the Lufthansa Airbus A321 D-AISW, it has moved twice in Milan. The first time around 17:30 from Frankfurt and headed for Rome, flight LH3848, and the second time three hours later, at 20:34, in the opposite direction, flight LH3849 from Frankfurt to Rome.
