On the day of Thursday, June 17, thanks to the arrival of a cold slug, several supercells were generated between Piedmont, Lombardy and Emilia. The storms have become extremely photogenic and spectacular facilities. Personally I could not unfortunately be on the field, but the chasers who have had the good fortune and the skill of being on the field last time they saw exceptional.
I was in Milan, just to have sight, I climbed the Duomo where I photographed the supercell Alexandrian, of course, from great distances. At the top I noticed the dark shadow of precipitation and near the base dell'updraft under which continued to form discrete Lowering (probably wall clouds). The huge anvil then expanded almost from above my head. Despite the distances, the structure seemed to me almost immediately supercellulare nature and watching the radar on mobile Landi, we noted how it was completely isolated.
Below, I posted some shots from the Duomo ... unpretentious photographs are very countered, but I assure you that I had to live hidden object LOT, there have been 40-50km between me and the storm. Nevertheless, it is visible from the meso here!
